Pressure calibration devices

Our calibration devices generate and measure pressure reliably and precisely.

With the KAL family, you will find pressure calibration devices that can be used both stationary and mobile. The devices are used to calibrate pressure measurement devices. In the process, the measured value of the transmitter is compared with a high-precision reference.

KAL 84

  • Power supply: 90-264 VAC adaptor
  • Analog output: 0 .. 1 V
  • Time constants: toggles between 0.1 s; 1 s

KAL 100/200

KAL 100-200 Kachel
  • Internal automatic pressure generation with precise pump
  • Minimum measurement range: 0 .. 100 Pa (also ± and asymmetric measurement ranges)
  • Measurement accuracy: ± 0.2 % or 0.5 % of max. value (depending on measurement range)
  • Display: alphanumeric display with 2 x 20 characters, backlighting, with multilingual operating menu
  • Pressure units switchable: Pa, kPa, mmHg , mmH₂O , inH₂O
  • Power supply: 85 .. 264 VAC also with lithium-ion battery (optional)
  • High accuracy and long-term stability due to automatic zero point adjustment
  • Simple menu navigation for unit changeover, setting of calibration points and definition of measuring span
  • Measurement input and power supply for tested measurement device

KAL 200

  • Measurement accuracy: ± 0.1 %, ± 0.2 % and ± 0.3 % (depending on measurement range)

  • Delivery already with factory calibration certificate
  • Convenient operation and creation of calibration curves with integrated USB interface and PC (optional for KAL 100)

Application of the pressure calibration devices

Thanks to its rechargeable battery, our pressure calibration devices can be optimally used in mobile applications. Pressure measurement devices can thus be easily calibrated on site. Typical (mobile or stationary) calibration applications are

  • Calibration of differential pressure transmitters in cleanrooms (pharmaceutical, semiconductor, etc.)
  • Calibration of blood pressure monitors in hospitals etc.
  • Calibration of differential pressure transmitters in air-conditioning systems

Efficiently calibrate blood pressure monitors on site

Today, every hospital and nursing home uses blood pressure monitors. To ensure that the devices measure accurately and reliably, an annual calibration is performed. This involves comparing the measured value of the blood pressure monitor with a high-precision reference.

Such calibrations can be done efficiently: Instead of sending the blood pressure monitors to an external calibration laboratory, calibration can be performed by the on-site technical service. This eliminates logistics and shipping times.

Our battery-operated pressure calibration device KAL 200 provides optimum support for this procedure. Pressure sequences can be pre-programmed and stored via the PC software. The pressure generator of the KAL 200 generates the setpoint value with the utmost precision in each case − the actual value is read off the blood pressure measurement device. The actual values are entered directly on site in standardized test protocols, which can be managed in the building management software of the hospital or nursing home. This means that the data is available at all times.
