Absolute pressure transmitters

Our pressure transmitters for measuring absolute pressure in closed systems.

Absolute pressure transmitters are used, for example, to determine the barometric pressure. In absolute pressure measurement, the currently measured pressure is compared to the vacuum. In barometric pressure measurement, (weather-dependent) ambient pressures are recorded. Usually these are around 1 013.25 hPa with fluctuations of 50 hPa. In contrast, with absolute pressure measurement, other pressure values can also be related to the vacuum − depending on the selected measurement range.

Advantages of halstrup-walcher pressure transmitters

  • Particularly suitable for very small measurement ranges
  • High long-term stability guaranteed, reliability over many years
  • Absolute zero point stability and high overload resistance
  • Low zero drift, hysteresis and temperature dependence

Properties of the absolute pressure transmitters

The AD 1000 is suitable for displaying absolute pressure and the BA 1000 can be used to display barometric air pressure. The core parts of the devices are evacuated measuring cells made of spring-elastic copper material. The deflection of the measuring cell caused by the absolute pressure or the air pressure is detected inductively without contact. The absolute pressure transducers provide an electrical output signal proportional to the pressure. The devices can be supplied with 24 VDC voltage as well as with different AC voltages.

  • Power supply: 24 VDC, 24 VAC, 115/230 VAC
  • Output signals: 0 .. 10 V or 0/4 .. 20 mA
  • Protection class: IP 54
  • Can be calibrated

Calibrations

To ensure the reliability of your pressure transmitters, we offer in-house calibrations and calibration certificates according to DKD guideline 6-1 or within the scope of ISO 9001. Learn more about our calibrations here.

Application of the absolute pressure transmitters

The precise determination of the barometric pressure is used on the one hand to determine the weather. On the other hand, air conditioning systems are often referenced to the current barometric pressure in order to avoid excessive pressure differences, for example in entrance areas / air curtains.

A precise absolute pressure measurement is required in numerous scientific and production processes – wherever a (weather-independent) process pressure value is required. A typical example is the pressure compensation of volume flow measurements.
