Successful re-accreditation

May 28, 2020

In the first half of this year, halstrup-walcher's calibration laboratory was re-accredited by the DAkkS (German accreditation authority) in accordance with the new edition of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-03. To obtain the accreditation, the laboratory equipment, staff qualifications and processes were inspected and evaluated over several days by various technical inspectors.

halstrup-walcher was able to prove that all its calibration procedures comply with the required standards and has thus received accreditation. The re-accreditation included an extension of the measuring ranges as well as the definition of new minimum measurement uncertainties for the respective measuring ranges. This enables halstrup-walcher to offer an even broader portfolio of services for the calibration of measuring devices for the medium “air”.

Calibration certificates are no longer signed

The new edition of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-03 no longer requires calibration certificates to be signed. A clear designation of the responsible person is sufficient. We will make use of this regulation in order to minimise processing times for you. For this reason, all calibration certificates issued since the re-accreditation by the DAkkS no longer bear a handwritten signature.
